Christopher Paolini no longer needs any introduction, of course, since becoming a global phenomenon back in 2001 when he published his first book Eragon at the age of 15.
Here is a video of Christopher Paolini at Barnes and Noble explaining how and why he wrote Eragon in the first place.
Eragon was an overnight sensation and to date, there are 49 foreign-language licenses for Eragon alone (it’s a pity the film was a bit of a disappointment). The first three books in the series – Eragon, Eldest, Brisingr - have sold 25 million print copies worldwide and are now also available for download for the Kindle.
After the final book in the series – Inheritance – C Paolini’s fans will be wondering what he will do next (early twenties seems a little early to retire after all).
Inheritance clears up all the loose ends in the cycle further details from Amazon here – Inheritance Ebook
The publishers Random House have also produced a boxed set of all 4 hardcover books in the Inheritance Cycle (cost around $60) (Eragon, Eldest, Brisingr, Inheritance)which would make a great Christmas gift for a Paolini or fantasy stories fan
