Nora Robert The Next Always Ebook
Nora Roberts (real name Eleanor Marie Robertson) is a best-selling and amazingly prolific American writer who has written, on average, a book every 2 months since her first novel was published in 1981 at the age of 31. She writes 8 hours every day, so if you want to know how it’s done then that’s it.
Her latest novel The Next Always
is no. 199 on her long list. She also writes as J.D. Robb and some of her works have been published in Britain under the pseudonym Sarah Hardesty.
Her novels have spent 861 weeks on the New York Times Bestseller List and over 400 million copies of her books are in print (presumably sold although I guess the publishers could be hoarding them somewhere). They are also now available as ebooks for the Kindle or the Nook.
In 2007 Nora Roberts was named one of the 100 Most Influential People by Time magazine, who said she “has inspected, dissected, deconstructed, explored, explained and extolled the passions of the human heart.” The only other author on the list was David Mitchell.
In 1997, Janet Dailey, also a best-selling romance writer, admitted to plagiarizing Roberts’ work, repeatedly, and more than once. In April 1998, Dailey settled the case for an undisclosed amount that was donated to the Literacy Volunteers of America.
Nora Roberts latest novel is The Next Always the first in the Inn Boonsboro Trilogy – Boonsboro is the small town in Maryland where Roberts and her husband, Bruce Wilder, own a restored B&B called the Inn BoonsBoro (cost around $225- $325 a night for a double room). Needless to say it is a best-seller in both print form and ebook.
The Next Always is a story of three brothers and a hotel
“The historic hotel in Boonsboro, Maryland, has endured war and peace, the changing of hands, and even rumored hauntings. Now it’s getting a major face lift from the Montgomery brothers and their eccentric mother. As the architect of the family, Beckett’s social life consists mostly of talking shop over pizza and beer. But there’s another project he’s got his eye on: the girl he’s been waiting to kiss since he was sixteen…”
Some people see Next Always not as a romance novel and more of an infomercial for Boonsboro, but times are hard so why not? Maybe a theme park is next on the list?
One reviewer said
“I love Nora Roberts and … this book is decent if you are a fan…. My biggest gripe is how this novel reads like a … travel brochure for her real-life hometown and businesses. … the constant cross-promotion buries the romance. I like travel books, but do not package one as a romance novel and try to fool me.”
There are plenty of people who love it of course and Nora Roberts is an excellent writer of romance novels and it has rocketed to the top of the best-seller lists already but bear in mind the ebook version is cheaper than the print version! You also don’t actually need a Kindle to read the ebook version, you can download it from Amazon here – The Next Always by Nora Roberts – and read it on your computer or laptop.
For other romance novels see Danielle Steele’s Hotel Vendome or for something a bit more fantastical Amanda Hocking or if you prefer your romances to have a bit more bite try Stephenie Meyer’s Twilight Saga Book 4 Breaking Dawn
