Louise Penny Award Winning Best-Selling Author of the Inspector Gamache Thrillers

We here at the Ebook Store are always on the look-out for interesting authors to write about (because we have a lot of time on our hands if you must know). Recently while browsing through the Hot New Releases section over at the Amazon Kindle Ebook Store we noticed that one hot new release ebook was ‘A Trick of the Light’ by hot new releaser Louise Penny, which despite being new and hot already had 70 reviews and the average rating was 5 star !

Well, we were intrigued, who wouldn’t be ?  So we had a poke around the surf on the Interwebs to discover more.

Louise Penny, is the best-selling author of the Chief Inspector Gamache novels. She has won more awards than you can shake a piece of lead piping at but has only written 7 books so far, the first being  Still Life in 2005 and the latest one being A Trick of the Light . She has an excellent website on which, amongst other things she gives good advice to anyone who wants to be a writer  – Louise Penny

Her first novel, Still Life, won the New Blood Dagger along with the Arthur Ellis, Barry, Anthony, and Dilys Awards. It was also named one of the five Mystery/Crime Novels of the Decade by Deadly Pleasures magazine.

As if that wasn’t enough, Louise then went on to be the first writer to win the Agatha Award for Best Novel four times !

Her novels  are bestsellers in the US and the UK and she lives in Canada where she skis, writes and volunteers, although not necessarily in that order. She is also a dedicated supporter of the SPCA.

She was a journalist and radio host on a morning show with the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation, so presumably well-known in Canadia.

She has dreamed of writing since she was a child and she is ! Her Chief Inspector Gamache books have found a world-wide audience, won numerous awards and been on numerous bestseller lists including the NYT.

Louise Penny seems to be a genuinely beautiful person as well as being an excellent writer (not that we know her of course -but you can tell a lot from a Wikipedia photo!).
