Kindle Fire

The Kindle Fire is a great ebook reader - click on image for full details from Amazon

You want an ebook reader but don’t know which one to buy? Amazon’s Kindle Fire or Barnes and Noble’s Nook Tablet? Save yourself a lot of time and buy the Kindle Fire – it’s $50 cheaper and the differences between the two devices are neglible. They both make decent Christmas presents! Check out the Kindle Fire video below.

Life is short! I have just spent days reading reviews by highly qualified techy types delving into the minute differences between the two devices (I should get a life!). The short story is the Nook Tablet has slightly better specs (but the differences are barely worth mentioning) and the Kindle Fire has more choice via Amazon and is $50 cheaper.

If you really can’t decide between the two and you have enough money then buy them both ! After a couple of weeks put the one you don’t like up for sale on that famous auction site and get some of your money back.

You can get really exercised and possibly even make yourself ill by agonizing over the the gut-wrenching decision of which bit of stuff you should buy, but just say no! Both devices do a very good job. Just go for the cheaper of the two weevils, why give B&N an extra $50 ? They will no doubt be bringing their price down soon, but probably not this side of Christmas.

Here’s what one reviewer said, he did a proper full-on tech review, but in the end (actually in the beginning), I am pleased to say, he agreed with my cheap and cheerful assessment

“these two devices are all about content. The Kindle Fire and Nook Tablet are basically comparable in terms of horsepower (not much) and size (the Nook Tablet is a little bigger, but a bit lighter, and more compellingly designed, with it’s intriguing corner cutout), but the real difference is content–there’s more of it available on the Kindle, and it’s easier to buy and use, so I say the short answer on which to buy if you want one of these is save yourself $50 and go with the Kindle.”

See what he said? Same as me but with more nouns, adverbs and adjectives. Buy the Kindle Fire it’s cheaper !

After giving his conclusion at the beginning of his article, he then went on to write another 1,000 words about Kindle or Nook? Nook or Kindle? Hmmm. Should I ? Shouldn’t I?  Anyone would think he had a page to fill ! He also wrote another whole article just on the Fire.

Well, I refuse ! Honestly, the differences are minimal, they’re both pretty good, but the Kindle Fire is $50 cheaper. You can get all the details from Amazon here – Amazon’s Kindle Fire

Don’t forget also that there is still the original Kindle that you can now get for $79 – weren’t they $350 not so long ago? Kindle Wi-Fi
