Clockwork Prince Ebook by Cassandra Clare

Cassandra Clare’s first book, City of Bones, was published in 2007 by Simon and Schuster. She then went on to write City of Ashes, City of Glass, and City of Fallen Angels. After this she wrote a set of prequels called The Infernal Devices, the first of which was Clockwork Angel (set in London and with characters related to the characters in the Mortal Instruments series).

The fifth book in the Mortal Instruments series, City of Lost Souls, is set to be released May 2012. There will be a total of 6 books in the Mortal Instruments series (City of Bones, City of Ashes, City of Glass, City of Fallen Angels, City of Lost Souls, and City of Heavenly Fire.)

So what’s all this got to with Clockwork Prince? Well, Clockwork Prince is the second in the Infernal Devices series (the prequel to the 6 Mortal Instruments books) and was released on December 6, 2011. The third and final book in the Infernal Devices series will be Clockwork Princess. If you’re confused I expect you’re not the only one. Reminds me of a Tolstoy novel.

Film rights to The Mortal Instruments have been optioned by Unique Features, but the green light has not yet been given. A director has been picked though – Scott Charles Stewart, along with a screenwriter Jessica Postigo and the two of the cast members, Clary (Lily Collins) and Jace (Jamie Campbell-Bower.) So every things pretty positive.
